Last years Sephora Colour Daze Blockbuster 2012...... Hmmmm

Hey Guys!

So, i looked everywhere for this item after i seen its release in December 2012, i live in Ireland so i do not have a Sephora store available to me, but i found it ebay and kept it on my watch list for a little while as i was a bit skeptical buying it from there. I gave in a made the purchase as i thought it would be a great addition to my kit.

The set contained : 64 x waterproof eye shadows, 12 x cream eyeliner, 6 eye top coats, 48 x lip gloss, 3 x blush, 6 x multi-purpose cream for eye, cheek, and lip, 3 x luminizers, 3 x makeup brushes and a mirror.

Sounds great right???

Well i wasn't really impressed to be honest, yeh its purdy to look at! and it comes in awesome packaging but i found the products to be a bit of a let down, Now! Maybe my expectations were too high, but i feel like half of the whole palette was taken up by lip glosses, which i did use on a couple of clients and they didnt have that much effect so i used another product over it, (wouldnt use them again) this also happened when using the eyeshadows, after applying them i felt they wern't as pigmented as id like and i was starting to pile them on so i just grabbed a estee lauder palette that i knew had similar colours that i was using for that look and used them instead as my client was on a time limit. (swatched the rest of the colours and they were just ok) The 3 "makeup brushes" are technically not makeup brushes, 2 of them were those annoying things with the sponges on either end (yeh you know them) that are horrid for propper application, and a teeny tiny lip/eye liner brush, i just wasn't feeling it at all
On the plus side the 3 blush and 3 luminizers were nice and the ONE eyeshadow i did like out of the whole palette was the white shimmer one in the corner right beside the luminizers, its lovely for adding sparkle to any look.

Overall i would give this product 5/10
